When asked about the inspiration behind the song, Jon Delinger shared, “A friend of mine, Steve Booysens, gave me a CD to listen to, it was by the Steve Miller Band, and I was immediately inspired to record my favorite covers from the playlist. ‘Rock’n Me’ happened to be my favorite among them all. The music itself is groovy and suggests stomping your foot to the rhythm. The tempo is liberating and gives you the freedom to move as you feel.”

Jon Delinger further explained, “I was inspired by the intro riff of the song, and I thought the lyrics were amazing. The melodies of the music had a rock ‘n roll, blues, and funky vibe, which is what I am most passionate about. The process of recording this song involved channeling my love for these genres and infusing them with my own unique style.”
